does anyone know who 1st sang this song in the 1950's please, the singer before Little Eva?

hmmm... that's what I thought too, but was at work this morning, we were doing a 60's theme & someone in the shop was going on that little eva wasn't the original artist & it was a black lady who sang it 1st in the late 50's, I did google it & came up with little eva, guess she was wrong!

The great Carole King and partner Gerry Goffin wrote it, and gave it to Little Eva first. I guess you may think there was a demo from Carole King?

In 1962 it was Little Eva and she is original as far as I remember and the song title is Locomotion, Grand Funk did it in the 70's

I believe Little Eva was the first one to sing it. Kylie Minogue did a version of it in the 80's.

grand funk had a big hit with it in the early 70's.. i don't remember who did it before that
