I have a roommate and we share the same computer, he is a porno freak, and this computer belongs to ME. I don't want him to put anything risky on it such as spyware or viruses, though I have new firewalls and virus protection and spyware protection, I want him to stop looking at **** shots of Paris Hilton (lest my computer get herpes)....
I don't want him to know I blocked it, he's not very computer literate but from my findings he can sure cyber and type and look at **** shots.

Haha, funny enough, telling him the computer doesn't work usually does work! But I know his passwords to everything unbeknownst to him, and I also tend to do a full system recovery when I feel like he's screwed around too much, and having to update my computer keeps him off of it---if I say "hey, it's not working today", he knows to leave it alone. It's funny I've blamed MySpace IM on causing viruses and crashing my computer, because he actually believes it and no longer downloads it. However, I do catch the sneaky bastard disabling my FIREWALL! Grrrrrr. He's on guest account now with limited access!

This seems very, VERY dodgy to me....like others have said, either lock your computer away when you're not there, or get a new room/room-mate.....what an unpleasant chap he sounds....

EDIT-
If he's paying for the internet, then you have 2 choices:
1) Ask him not to visit those stupid sites because you'll get a virus/trojan. If he doesn't believe you, then tell him to come here and ask. He can also see all the people here with virus/trojan problems. Tell him to use someone else's computer for watching porn.
2) Pay for your own internet access. Don't go dutch either. Just pay for the whole thing yourself.
-----
You can block off certain sites, but if you try to do this discreetly, then he'll know something is up.
I don't think that there is any 'covert' method of denying him without him suspecting something so you might as well tell him you leave your computer alone. Password protect it. Tell him that he cannot visit these dangerous sites and if he needs to borrow your computer, then read the browser history to see where he went. If he visited the porno sites again, then don't let him use the computer anymore.
Doesn't that loser have any friends? Tell him to use someone else's computer for his stupid 'thrills.'

You could just set the Content Advisor on, since you do not visit these sites, you would be unaffected by the restrictions. However I feel that someone this uncaring about YOUR laptop should be restricted further.
So, First, I would give him his own profile. You are most likely running Win XP and can easily set up a profile for him. Set it to USER status (do not give him Administrator Rights) This will keep him from installing any crap on your computer. (Such as another browser!) It will also keep him from being able to make changes to the computer accounts/profiles.
(Be sure to create a profile for your self and pass word protect it. Do not share your password with anyone. )
Next, Log in to this new profile and Turn on the Content Advisor in Internet Explorer (Tools - Internet Options - Content). Set the Content Advisor to NONE by sliding the slider to the far LEFT. This will keep him off most all porn sites. Click APPLY and then be sure to password protect this setting. (Again, don't share this password with anyone - but be sure it is something you can remember.)

I say lock away your computer and get a new roomate. Seriously. This is not appropriate behaviour, I wouldn't put up with it.
Also if you contact your internet provider aol, BT etc by phone they will talk you through the process - 'parental restrictions' it's easy. I've done it before. Then your new roomate won't do the same thing.
