I feel great living in the United States. Up to this moment, I havent presented any major struggle. The fact that I hold a BS and a MA helps because I can be ina position to get better jobs. Here in the US, I feel less stress, I dont think I could moved back.
The traffic in PR, the consumerism, the weather, and the behavior of some people really annoy me. Dont get me wrong, I dont hate my country, I just feel more comfortable and relax living here than in PR.
My only regret is with other people from PR. I have to admit most of my friends are from the States and my closest friends are puertorricans born and raised in New York. My experience with other puertorricans who came here in their teens or twenties is not that great. My accent is not strong, I went to college in Oregon, but still exists. Most of the puertorricans who has been living in the US for over twenty years are sensible to my accent. Something a little bit stupid because people born and raised here has no problem with that.

Im not puerto Rican but I must cast a opinion. They oughta feel okay here sincee they moved here themselves, no one forced them to come here especially one's who can speak a lick of english.
Puerto Rican's struggle as much as everyone else does, no different.
If they wish they were never her....Go Back!

Oh yes, I rather be living in abject poverty in the rainforest or sell trinkets to tourist on the beach. Puerto Ricans do struggle here, but their hard work is often rewarded with success, comfort and security. and .... as I haven't met anyone who went back, except to visit,..... they're voting with the feet to stay.
