I married her with her 4 yr old son, the state stepped in and court ordered the the (x boyfriend) to pay $25 a week, he payed little to nothing in the past 15 years. Now the courts have caught up to him, and my wife has got bac together with him and he is going to pay now.
My wife didnt work and I supported the kid as well as my 2 kids for the past 15 years.
she moved out and we are still going through a divorce.
Can i sue for the back child support that she gets? the child is almost 19 now .

First of all I'm not being hatefull, I'm not the one who left- I stayed and faught for our marriage, till she hooked up with the Dead beat x-boyfriend who is 6 years older than her.
Next, the kid doesn't get the money- The state check is made out to Her. Thats Florida for ya.

I also provided the young kid with a 1995 corsica, in very nice condition.
as for school he has dropped out half way in 12 grade, due to having pot at school. He was an A,B honor role student growing up. Sad.

The check is supposed to written to HER. SHE is the parent. The money is to be used for the kid, not given to the kid. You can't sue her for money that was never yours to begin with. If you were taking care of your 2 and hers, that just makes you a good dad, but you will lose if you try to get the back support, because it was awarded to HER, not YOU. She obviously doesn't have much of a brain to go back to him, but there's nothing you can do there. Now you will most likely be paying child support to her too, if she has primary custody. Suck it up and get used to it. Let go of the bitterness, it will eat you alive. Be glad she is gone, why would you want a woman like that in your life. Now just be the best dad you can be to your kids. Don't put them in the middle of this mess.

Nope, you can't sue her for the back child support she will be getting. Your soon to be ex wife would have had a difficult time trying to raise a child on $25.00 a week. My goodness you can't even put a roof over the child's head for $25.00 a week never mind feeding and clothing them.
I am proud of you as a man, supporting the entire family and being there for this child as well as your own children. If anything be proud of what you did because without you, who knows what would have happened to this child.
It would be commendable if your ex turned over to the child this back child support to help him with school, or a car or even place it in a saving account for him. This would be the right thing for her to do.
Now you are going to have to pay child support until your children become of age. Do the right thing and be proud of what you did for the last 15 years.
I wish you the best.

the check must be made out in the name of an adult but the money goes to support the children as for supporting her son for 15 years you made the choice to be with a woman with a child and even though the child wasn't yours you raised him and supported him please don't make this young man think you regret doing that for him simply because the relationship with his mother didn't last forever what you done was a honorable thing. if seeking some kind of revenge on your ex will heal the hurt then find someway to do it that doesn't involve the children in anyway, they have enough to deal with right now they don't need the added stress.

no , and there is no nice way i can put this so ill just put it, you screwed again, i went through it, my question is do you have kids with her? if you do your screwed again the judge will order you to pay, its not fair i know, and the sad thing is she could buy drugs and you prove with your support check and the judge will tell you there is nothing he or the law can do unless she is caught in the act itself then you could file for custody, its sad because in situations like this only the child suffers, man i went around and around with these courts, even stopped paying in protest, i went to jail luckily i had the money in the bank to cover what i didn't pay or i would of sat 90 days, man if that is her wish walk away, it may hurt and it angers you,but pride heals, they deserve each other, it didn't work out for them back then and probably wont work out now. with that knowledge walk away, if you love her be there to pick up the peaces that are left, it not don't look back,,

sorry to declare yet i think of not, the court offered her the 25 a week, and now that he's paying her, you cant sue him, what you mandatory to do became into pass after him 15 years in the past not while the youngster is nineteen, yet i wish you have a stable relation with the youngster and bear in recommendations what you probably did for the youngster reason 25 a week buys not something

no state gives the check to the kids directly and no you cannot get anything from her for back support or anything spent on the kids. You married her and you chose to support her kid so just write it off as a past mistake

You raised the kid...he'll remember who was really there.
You can inquire with an attorney, but I believe that money is untouchable by you. (not absolute on this)
$25 a week? Wow! That guy must be lying about the hours worked. (probably under table)
