Why does laziness show up in the way simple words are spelled. We send our children to the school houses around the country and are taught the correct spelling but they are not satisfied to do it right.! It must be an exercise in rebellion. Every time I see this sloppy typing it makes my tongue get tangled and I have to slow down and try to figure out what the word is supposed to mean!

LInguistically it makes sense since prolly is a lot easier to say than probably and serves the same function. Does it serve the beauty of the language? I guess we're going to find out.

Yes. Probably will never be "prolly" to me. It sounds like a lazy person's way of talking.

Yes it bothers me. A lot. I see/hear a lot of shortened words. People shorten words to where its not even a word anymore. It sounds ridiculous and uneducated.

It actually means 'obviously' and is an internet term that was created to denote sarcasm or irony in a typed conversation
