No
Take this site for example.
I answer people's questions to the besat of my ability in the hopes that I have the best answer. It is a validation that maybe who I am and what I have to say is something good.
Meanwhile I have been here so long that I have amassed a reputation, a number that everyone thinks is impressive, but noone sees that I had to stay around this long to get that number.
So, now when I answer things I get a mixed bag of responses. Either people accept the answer for what it is, my best effort, or they look at it as something trivial to be ignored or abused or disguarded.
The whole thumbs up thumbs down thing is becoming a way to jockey for position. People in some places use them to say don't give it to him he has too many good answers.
I check up on those questions and low and behold a person with no information at all has won the best answer. There is one guy in particular right now who is making it his career to not answer questions but gather best answers of questions that have no answer to them at that time. What is worse, I believe he has started stacking the votes as well, teaming up with others or using multiple accounts to make sure he gets those points.
At any rate cheaters do prosper and the best answer is not always the answer chosen. My character which is judged in this manner is no longer my destiny. My destiny becomes a lie.
This is a microcosm of life outside this site. Good guys suffer as much as bad guys, sometimes more. Their destinies are shaped by the struggle between them and all around them. You can't win them all but you hope to win enough to keep things the way you think they ought to be.
At any rate the answer is no. The best you can hope for in life is a day or two in the sun

Yes. In the same vein, the destiny of a person without character is set by others.

I dont beleive that my character is my destiny because I'm the one who set the character I wanna be. Noone has the right to tell me what I must be. And because I do not beleive in destiny or fate, your the one responsible of your character.

Interesting question. I know my character is a contrivance of my own making. So that would mean that it isn't destiny. So, my answer is no.

Do a certain degree. The way you act and the way others interpret your character helps determine how far you'll get. For instance, if you go for a job interview in a fast pace environment and the manager perceives you as being shy, you'll most likely not get a job. If you meet a guy you really like and act like an idiot to get his attention, he will avoid you.

My character attracts what it reflects, and in turn, creates opportunities that impact my destiny.
