You have to be a good friend and respect others. If you are not happy with you then knowbody else will like you either. Trying to steal peoples girls and trying to be better than eveyone else is not a good way to earn respect from others... :)

Hold tight to your values and principles, be consistent in the way you live and never look down on someone who is in a less good situation than you. That should bring you some respect.
