its Alton towers,it has over,100 rides, including Rita queen of speed shooting you out,at over 82 mph and slowing down to,60 mph round the track, and there,is twisty turny ride and oblivion which drops you into a smoke filled tunnel.there's the corkscrew, air and the log flume, with over a hundred rides,I'm not sure about size as in square metres but it must be a fair size as it has the most rides in the UK.i regularly visit Alton towers,as with Thorpe park.
Thorpe park has half the amount of rides at 40.you could check out there website at www.altontowers.co.uk

Alton Towers for sure.

There are some other large ones out there (Lightwater Valley (with the golf course in the middle), Oakwood (being long), etc), but none are even close to the size of Alton Towers, especially if walk through the middle area. OMG, the gardens are HUGE!

What's nice is that not only is Alton Towers the largest theme park, but it also is one of the best!

Hope that helps!

the park at the primary school i went to when I was little. Or Alton Towers. It's a pretty close run thing really.

Nemesis is THE best ride on the planet, which I can say with all the confidence of someone who's never been to America. :P

two points B-)

different parks offer different experiences. Cedar Point has had the record for tallest and fastest coaster on several occasions. and even though they currently do not have the record, it is not beat by much. so this is the best place for just THRILL rides. Disney parks are best for themes. the decoration, the music playing in the background are all there to get you lost in the location and the moment. then there is Cypress Gardens in Florida. its one of the oldest theme parks and it has a sense of history to it. you have to figure out what you are looking for and then pick the parks accordingly. Basic tips. Time of year will determine size of crowds. different area of the country will be affected differently. Get there early. most family will not get there by the time the park opens. and that first hour or two can make a huge difference when it comes to getting on as many rides as possible. Hit the most popular rides first. their lines usually get longer as the day goes on. i have seen a 15 minute line at opening turn into a 90 minute line by lunch.
