Seeing the sparkle in the eyes of the one you adore when you suddenly show up. The eyes are the windows of the soul.
Love between two lovers can be:
Shallow love: just physical (sex), just emotional (happy), or just mental (fantasy).
Falling in love may overlap in two areas: phy and emo, emo and mntl, phy and mntl, etc. but is usually passive and short-lived, and can be easily deterred.
Deeper love is not only emotional, it also becomes physical, and mental as well. Physical symptoms usually show up when the one you love is not around. And memories can be triggered by any of your five senses. Symptoms can include weakening of the knees, always on your mind, chills when you think about them, exaggerated euphoria when their nearby, sudden rise in temperature, rendered speechlessness due to nervousness, rapid breathlessness.
True love is longer lasting, and the symptoms don't leave but become a necessary part of your existence. It has a life and purpose all on it's own and cannot be separated from life itself (like your heart). Beethoven called it "Immortal", you believe that you can only live wholly with them or not at all.
