I seems odd, because the world is male dominated, that alot of men still regret not being born as a woman. In Thailand alone, male to female transexuals total about 30% of the population. I read somewhere, that 10,000 American men opt for a sex change operation every year. So why is this? Is there something about being a woman that I'm missing out on?

There are probably 3 or 4 reasons they could do something so ill-advised.

They are homosexual and wish to be attractive to other men in the "safest, most traditional" way.

There are those who are simply biologically feminine: not just in their demeanor and actions, but in their very organism, as well. Not common, but it appears to happen.

They are envious of what they perceive as privileges (altering your appearance or hiding "imperfections" with make-up, broader range of self-expression through clothing and accessories), being "taken care of and "courted," the "hold-the-door for them/pick-up-the tab mentality," and the vaunted ability to often worm out of tight predicaments by being the "helpless little lady."

They often impressed by the power Women often appear to enjoy (men making fools of themselves trying to impress by jumping through various hoops), as well as their management style of going after people they don't like or are mad at with insinuation and suble character assassination instead of direct confrontation.

Finally, and the most dangerous, these men have the "Television Sickness." There are now generations of men and women who have been raised watching the bizzare and often misandristic (man hating) images on American television.

These images include the surreal (think of June Cleaver cleaning the family bathroom replete in a full dress, heels and pearls and perfrect coif), the denigrating (the women being light years ahead of her husband in terms of smarts, ability, having a clue, etc.), the inane (saving the day regardless of how complicated the problem in less than 30 minutes and with plenty of time for commercials) and the downright dangerous and wrong (women are morally superior to men).

When you consider the propaganda which causes the "Televison Sickness" and its cumulative effect over the last couple of generations, it's not difficult to see why violence against women occurs.

I do not think your statistics are at all accurate. For example, in Britain, out of a total population of 60,000,000, there are just 5,000 transsexual people - and that includes natal women, who have opted to become men!!!
But yes, there is a feeling that women are more dominant these days/ have more colorful lives/more options in society to express themselves. And men are relatively insecure in todays society feeling they have 'lost' a lot of traditional roles.
But, 'what goes around, comes around', and things will change. And life as a woman is not always so great - periods!, childbirth!, societal behavioural expectations, the menopause etc etc........ You're not missing much - and in any case....you can't change your biological sex. There are no 'true transsexuals' , only people who are transgendered, which is something else altogether.

It appears to be for biological reasons when it comes to transsexuals- male to female transsexuals have brains that more closely resembles women.

They just feel that they're born in the wrong body. If you feel like you're born in the wrong body, then yeah....I guess you are missing out on something.

You certainly are missing out on something. While a man can start the ball rolling, it is the woman who brings new life into the world. Your very important contribution lasts a few seconds. Hers takes about 40 weeks, while life grows within her.

And that's only the beginning my friend.
