How long will an e-mail from a seaman onboard, reaches to the subject?

He sends an e-mail while he's on the ship.

If the ship is connected to mail servers via satalite while underway then the email should not take longer then a few minuets to reach anywere in the world, but if the ship only connects at pre determined times to the satalite to transfer data the it could be anything from a few min to days......

If the ship has a permanent say satellite connection it will be instant. If the ship relies on proximity to shore based wireless the on board server will store it until it is in range of a connection.
