Who really cares it's only a question for crying out loud.
Why can't people just see this is a question n answers site n that's it.If anything they shouldn't make it as though u have a choice of what country u would like to ask a question on.It a useless drop down n no need for it since all english is together not separate.I think it just confuses people who r hopping to post on a country of there choice when there isn't a choice at all they just make it look that way.Hope this makes sense.

Yahoo! is the answer. Anyone who communicates in English ends up on the same site. I see questions from people in India, frequently, which are in English. Yahoo! is an American company. Most Americans have computers. Odds are, there will be Americans using this site. It is not for the exclusive use of any country.

we secretly consider Brits to be a more civilized lot though won't admit it- if UK was to be the 51st state, they would set the standards in this country on all cultural affairs; look how we lap up British singers, actors (all over Hollywood) and even American Idol judge Simon Colwell was a British.

Because I will say it again - all the english speaking sites show the same questions and answers!!! It is not a case of the americans not knowing what site they are on - seriously that is a bit of a stereotype, all the english speaking sites are banded together!!

Um, you may not know this, but there is a bit of cross over because of the shared language. It's a quirk of the system.
Relax.
