i shall be voting, but will be spoiling my vote since there is no one worth voting for, its more of a statement than apathy, all apathy does with ppl not bothering to vote is give the misconception that your happy with the way things are.

I believe it is my duty as a UK citizen to vote at every election. I have voted at every election - local, Scottish, UK, referenda - for over 30 years.

Women of my grandmother's generation DIED in order to give me the right to vote.

I believe voting should be compulsory, as in Australia.

Although there you always have a "none of the above" option, and I agree that is a good idea.

No, I've no-one to vote for. I'm sure I'm not alone in this. I've no faith in our so-called democracy.

Oh, dear... a nationalist.^

Well, if you go in for gass-chambers and the like, I suppose you go in for that sort of thing.

Oh, I think she's reffering to the UK general election as it's happening now. Yanks really don't pay attention to world affairs do they?

Look, it's simple: Because of the way our governmental system works, it's nearly impossible for anyone exept the two front-runners to get in and even then, it's just a matter of making promises and keeping the populace relatively comfortable. Policy is based on the fadish, self-centered, general public opinion and not on what will improve our country. It's pretty clear that these days populism wins votes over hard stands any day. That's why the BNP is gaining support, they've realised the way things work and have pushed their real agenda aside for the time being to work on their image by appealing to people's narrow-minded fears and promising quick-fire solutions to their problems in a language they can understand. It sickens me deeply, but I've come to realise there's simply nothing the minority of thinking people in this country can do about it. We're just outnumbered...

Whats the point in voting? There's nobody worth voting for, they all seem to have merged into the same party.

I will be voting and I do think there is someone worth voting for unless I'm talked out of it. John Edwards.

If I have time to vote I will, but I'm not too bothered.

If I do vote it will be for the British National Party, as they are the ones who are campaigning for the sorts of things I would like to see happen
