This has got to be one of the worst seasons ever. The judges turned away some people who could actually sing in their so-called search for contestants. Some people who actually "made" it to Hollywood never should have. Do these judges actually know what true talent is? Maybe it's time for some new judges? I've totally had it with those 3. The kiss, as I mentioned in another question, was disgusting and inappropriate and never should've happened. I think she'd pull anything to draw attention to herself as she knows she's going to lose this competition. I really thought she and Phil (and he did) would be the ones to go. Jordin has always been a favorite of mine and it could be a run between her and Blake now. Melinda can make it on her own, I feel that anyone who has sung professionally before should NOT be allowed in this competition. Lakisha is NOT my idea of an IDOL. She's not consistent and just doesn't look the part.If she's all that good, she'll get a contract. Chris will get one I'm sure because the producers know that the young girls really like him plus he does have his fan base. He'll sell Cd's.

This season is not as good as others-I loved last seasons Idol better.
And yes, me and my daughter are truly upset that Chris is gone-he was an awesome singer-he did a great job. But from the beginning they sid it would be a woman winning this season and it looks like that will happen. All these darn shows are fixed in one way or another-how do we think Sanjaya stayed on for so long?
The smooching between Simon and Lakeisha was uncalled for and if that was attempt to stay on the show longer-guess what-it worked in her favor!
I truly will miss Chris-I'm glad that him and Blake became such good friends and let everyone know that last night on the show-but yes, they will all be touring together so more power to him-he will end up being a great singer and no matter what Chris has and will always have my vote-he is my True American Idol!!!!

I totally DISAGREE with you. I don't think there was a bad singer in the top 12 and it has made it seem more boring because of it. Okay, maybe Sanjaya was the exception. The probelm is there just isn't a clear favorite left to hate! Even Sanjaya had people who liked him or he wouldn't have stayed as long as he did.

I personally thought the right people went home last night, though and I really like both Chris and Phil. I think both of them will get contracts and we will be buying their CD"s sometime next year. I, for one, can't wait!

And, LaKisha did NOT insitgate the kiss, Simon and Ryan did that. She stepped up this week and gave a great performance.

Although, I do think that Jordin should have been one to go home based on HER performance which even she admits was not good. It was based on two weeks worth, though, and she was great last week. Chris was average both times.

No, I don't think this is the worst season ever on American Idol. I have loved every single season. The only one I don't know about is season one as I didn't watch it. I didn't start until season two and I have been a loyal fan ever since. I don't miss any shows now. I vote every week. I totally agree with you though about Simon and LaKisha kissing. That was uncalled for and also unfair. He had no business kissing any of the contestants. That gave her an unfair advantage but it was sickening, anyway. I don't enjoy watching people kiss on TV like that in front of that many of us and then all that lipstick getting all over his sour puss. Yuck!!! Sickening! This is the 3rd question I 've seen on here about you being upset about Chris leaving so it is quite obvious that you really admire him. I think he is also very talented and I also still think he will continue on doing well even without the "American Idol" title. Luckily, he will be in the tour when this is over and that will also give him more recognition and he will still be with the other contestants. I am also happy that my favorite, Phil, will also be on tour.

I definitely don't think this season is that great. I mean I like Blake and Jordin and I am very glad they are both still in but I don't think either of them compare to past seasons top 4.
And I agree that Chris shouldn't have gone home.
I was hoping Lakisha would go, and although I think Melinda is a great entertainer I dont' think she is american idol worthy. I mean American Idol is supposed to be young and hip I think Melinda is older sounding, just not what I want when I watch American Idol

i don't even watch that show anymore. i'm sick of it. it gets worse every year. chris was pretty good. all of them are just ok though. none of them are amazing or anything.
