What is You opinion of this sort of behaviour. What punishment should be metered out to Her assailant?
Question is open to all.

My personal opinion is rather more draconian that most.

I don't think much of him. He should be tossed into jail for 6 months or more, community service for a year and have a vasectomy.
And be on probation for 5 years. (And probably that's not enough)

I have breastfeed in public, BUT -- I ALWAYS had a receiving blanket or shawl covering me and my baby. I covered myself out of respect for those who are uncomfortable with the situation. It is very natural to feed and IT IS NOT A SEXUAL THING WHEN A CHILD IS NURSING -- that is a straight up pervert that is misinterpreting something innocent.

He is a man that has NO SELF-CONTROL -- to walk up to a complete stranger and touch her breast -- he is TOTALLY OUT OF LINE whether she was breastfeeding or not!! A man that cannot control is urges is a true danger to society -- not just women. He deserves the full extent of the law if he thinks he did nothing wrong; if he shows he is remorseful (truly) then disciplinary classes are in order.

BTW, I would have put my baby in the stoller, stapped him/her in, then commenced to WHIPPING HIS AZZ FOR TOUCHING ME!! He would never have used that hand for that again!! TRUST ME!!

thats a ugly thing that he did! he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. the woman and baby it seems were defenceless and hes attacted her, thats just ugly! remember that the Lord said "vengeance is mine saith the Lord I will repay. Life is a learning experience for all of us on this planet, some are caught up in doing evil things ive been taught to realize that God is in control and i believe that is true so that comforts me knowing that a faithful creator is watching from a distance and taking into account what is done and how it is done,he'll deal with the evil , i just know my part is to honour his name and do his will . comingonthrusthename

Due to the mildness of the situation, I would say a 6 month jail sentence would be a sufficient sentence.

6 months is a long time in jail.

If the judge feel that the offender is not likely to reoffend, I would say that it would be acceptable to make some of this jail term a suspended sentence.

Basically, what happened was that the offender touched her breast and then walked away.

My recommendation for a "behavior adjustment" treatment is a prefrontal lobotomy on people who are pedophiles, rapists, or any behavior that represents the inability of the individual to function in a socially acceptable way.

It is already uncomfortable to breastfeed away from home but to have someone to say something out of the way could be scary and i hate that she had to go through that. And i think that he should have two charges against him, one for the mother and one for the child.

The guy who did this obviously has issues and needs to be caught and sent to jail. He has no prejudices or oppinions on breast feeding but rather saw this woman has a vulnerable person to sexually assault. there is no excuse for his behaviour. Also the poor mother was probably in fear of her baby when this creep cornered her. He definitely needs to be punished.

Edit to Buff: This Lady WAS NOT feeding her baby in public she had gone to a designated parenting room where there are facilities for parents and breast feeding mothers. The facilities include adult and child toilet, a baby change board, a vending machine that sell nappies, a blackboard or toy stuck to the wall and usually one or two cubicles with a curtain where a mum can breast feed in private. there is a video footage of this young creep waiting outside the parenting room obviously waiting for a victim to sexual assault. His actions have nothing to do with prejudices ofwomen breast feeding babies in public and more to do with the fact that he wanted an accessible victim, and Buff to sugest such a thing shows you have limited understanding of SEXUAL ASSAULT and her behaviour WASNOT inappropriate.

That's quite possibly the most disgusting thing I've ever heard since 15-year-old Spring Adams was impregnated by her father. We should have designated areas for breastfeeding (more "family" bathrooms) and make sure men without children DON'T GO IN. As for the guy, my logical side says jail and rehab, but my violent side says to throw him into a bucket of acid.

The link did not work for me.

The assailant should be punished to the fullest extent of the law for at least 2 counts of assault. Both mother and baby are victims. He probably needs some sort of pyschiatric help as well.

EDIT: Nidavellir, thanks for the link. After reading the article, my answer remains unchanged.
