i have two pcs and one modem and two ethernet cables from each pc to the netgear router can any on tell me how i get both pcs online ?????

configure the default as the router IP address in both the computer, and also specify DNS servers on both the pc's.

If you router has a phone port you configure it to make your connection and then it will run both machines automatically. If not, your modem may have a LAN input, you connect the router WAN connection to this and the same applies. The best way is the first. If you are on cable, most cable modems do have a LAN connection.

"two ethernet cables from each pc to the netgear router", I assume you mean:"ONE ethernet cable from each pc to the netgear router". If not, start there.

is your router a modem too?? most are these days. plug computers into the router and plug in the phone cable.
