Is it accurate to say the final verdict chosen by the jurors that day, was really a result of the botched efforts of the L.A,P.D detectives -in framing a guilty man?

Yes it is . Also, the final verdict was a result of jury nullification; like the southern jury nullifications during pre- civil rights era. the same is true of the o.j. case.

No! It is, in my opinion, not accurate to say that the verdict in the O,J,Simpson trial is due to the LAPD> It was due to an incompetent Judge Ito; and an incompetent team of Prosecutors who did not know what they were doing. Last but not least however, it took many months of trial and only 20 minutes for the Jury to come up with a verdict of not guilty.I have a vivid memory of one of the Jurors leaving the Jury Box and giving a clenched hand salute of victory. This was at best a symbol of a prejudiced Jury and at worst one of the most incompetent Jury's ever. They had their own agenda which was "Don't confuse me with facts, my mind is already made up," In a subsequent trial OJ was found guilty in a suit brought against him by Mr.Goldman. OJ is (Free?) but has not paid one penny to the Goldman family.

Yes and no. It was a screwed up case from beginning to end: the cops, the DA's office, the labs, the FBI. A lawyer with a degree from Regent University could have successfully defended him, the prosecution was so badly handled.

No, I think it's accurate to say that the only person in the courtroom that knew what was really going on was Johnny Cochran.

It should have been declared a mistrial about halfway through.

Very accurate. Moreover having the late Cochran (very expensive)as your defense lawyer added to the winning combination.
