As a Chelsea fan, we don't feel great about it, a team losing on a penalty shoot-out always has a right to feeling agrieved. I'm sure all England fans know exactly how it feels. Whats more - a team playing away from home in the second leg is immediately at a disadvantage once the tie goes to extra-time/penalties. Especially when they are playing against a team who have made little or no attempt in the other three competitions they've played in this year.
However, I look at it this way - our team has not been at its best this year - signing established stars such as Sheva and Ballack has not paid off. Signing slightly lesser known up-and-coming players such as Essien, Robben, Cech has been much more effective. Something has not quite been right with the team this season. We have been good at times, but not clicked at others, but this was not the season to win four trophies.
We are optimistic for next season - Jon Obi Mikel is coming on very well and people are hailing that at the age of 19, we may have the new Ruud Gullit on our hands.
We may feel bad, but as Chelsea and Manchester United have already won the Premiership, Carling Cup and FA Cup between them, we don't feel as bad as a Liverpool fan will feel switching his TV off (going to the final are you? No, I didn't think so) at the end of a trophy-less season at the hands of Kaka, the best attacking player in the world today.
It's OK though, they'll still have the Community Shield to polish - a true minor trophy.

We (Chelsea Fans) feel better than you will feel when you play against Gatusso, Kaka and Seedorf! The other players are only going to be in the game because it is against UEFA rules to play with a team of less than 11 players.
If you are that good, how come you are out of all other competitions?
Chelsea kept hope alive till the end of every competition.
Lets see Lever-pull try that!
