I'm about to graduate from college, and during my four years here I've seen quite a few gay guys on campus. It's funny that whenever they talk to anyone, they make references to sexual things ALL the time. Now, of course regular guys do this too, but these guys talk about what they shoved where, sucked, fondled, screwed, swallowed, or some other disgusting thing they did with another guy and they talk about it in public. These people say they try to distance themselves from media stereotypes, yet they seem to be doing as much as they can to make themselves look like perverts. I don't think I'm being harsh when I say that I don't want to hear some queer talking about his sore butt from his 50 year-old partner's sodomy session the night before. It makes we want to vomit out my oatmeal just like that scene with the blueberry pie and the fat kid in the movie "Stand by Me". So, are all gays so perverted that they have to talk about what they shoved up the butt the night before?

Haha, Jay. It's quite fitting that your sociology professor should say that, given that their area of study is the most pseudoscientific of all.

Now you're just making yourself sound like that Doris or Lulu thing.. "my college educated boyfriend." "I'm about to graduate from college," as if that makes you more credible on an orientation you clearly detest.
As my sociology professor always says, "All a college degree gives you is the opportunity to go out and spread ignorance without impunity."
Good luck with that attitude Mr./Miss college grad... one of those "queers" will probably end up being your boss in the near future.

What crazy school did you go to? Some inner-city, pay as you go, community college?
In all my 40yrs I've never heard the types of things you claim from any gay man's mouth.
I'd suggest they were probably making things up for your benefit alone knowing how you'd react.
Kind of like why bullies continuously pick on certain people because they know they can get a rise out of them.
Ironic, since gays/lesbians have been the target of most bullying, seems turn-about really is fair play.

Most gay guys are probably in the closet to some extent, so you don't hear about them at all. The ones you describe are just crude and insensitive and loud, so naturally they stand out and get your attention, just like bone-heads who talk loudly in public places on cellphones.
Of course, part of the explanation is that before the freedom of college, even their being gay was possibly harshly suppressed, and now that they're allowed to really be themselves, they tend to go overboard with their openness. Such displays seem to be especially common in gay-friendly venues like gay bars and university campuses. It's really no different in its way, I guess, from college kids that get throwing-up, falling down drunk their first week on campus--they just don't know how to handle their new-found freedom. Don't judge all gays by the only ones who get in your face. Most are still too shy to even admit that they're gay.

We're not all like that at all. Maybe you should make some gay friends and you'll find we're full of other stuff to talk about.
It just sounds like when you hear sex talk, you pause to listen in, intently, so you just sum up that all we talk about is sex. I'm sure if you got to know these people you'd realize that there's far more to learn.
So we're not all like that at all, and it just sounds like you are maybe under-exposed to GLBT people where you are.
Oh and statistically we're no more "perverted" than heterosexuals.

Guys will be guys.. we talk about our conquests be it straight,bi or gay.
Get over it or walk away.
consider the crowd that they are in. I wouldn't be talking about the chick I nailed last night if I was hanging around someone that is gay.
you stated that "It's funny that whenever they talk to anyone, they make references to sexual things ALL the time". could it be that who they are talking to is interested in that.
I know that college can make you have a closed mind but, to live in the real world you need to have a open mind.

Sounds to me like they are acting like typical horny young men. Straight men do the same thing...just as you said...but you are not homosexual, and of course you would be repulsed to hear about it. I suggest that if you are around men who speak like that, ask them to have a little etiquette and not kiss and tell...you should do the same for straight guys as well...for even if you are straight, gay..etc.. it is still trashy in my opinion to talk about your sex life in a graphic way.

If you don't want to hear about our love lives, then don't listen. Ask your girlfriend/wife about her sore butt after your sodomy session with her.

These guy act strangely cuz they are fighting with something: the disagreement from others and themselves about their gay identity.
Mature person who are firm about their own position in life, donnot behave in this way.
Don't blame them, they are pitiful...
