I am using BT HOME HUB, when the computer is left on at night, i try to connect to the net in the morning and sometimes cannot access any web pages, my lan connection shows that im connected? To get it it back i have to shut down the computer remove cables from the hub and wait an hour then reconnect, it then seems to work.Is there something i can do to stop this happening.

Your "DHCP Lease" has expired at BT.

Turn your PC off at night and it will be fine in the morning.

I too use bt home hub and have speant over 17 hours trying to sort this problem out and still i recieve the same problems. i tend to find un plugging the hub for minute or so and then waiting while the hub boots back up and net working again within 5 minutes of replugging in.
All they ever do when you ring them is try and change your settings but will only do this if you have ethernet cable. I pay extra so i can use wireless so dont need ethernet cable and they tell me they cant help.

Yes - your DHCP has expired and needs another 24 hour lease - (I get the same problem - just lately).
I find that disconnecting/and reconnecting via the Homehub and just pulling/re-inserting the B/B phone socket will fix it straight away - still a B nuisance that as I said has only recently started occurring.
Edit:
I can only assume it's designed so we have to now shut down once in every 24hours at least!

bt home hubs are notorious for this. they overheat and then need to cool down. suggest you turn it off at night from now on. also make sure you have the latest one. Bt are also not very quick to tell you that there are newer free hubs available
