If you had to choose a guy depending on his looks, which means you completely disregard that 'what is on the inside matters' matter, would you prefer a darker or lighter colored individual?
I hear people saying that they believe lighter-colored men do not work hard and are usually people who over-react. But of course that is only their opinion.

I prefer men darker than I am but that's probably just because the only ones paler are albinos and there aren't many of them. Aesthetically, I Iike the contrast of my skin next to someone very dark but that's certainly no reason to get involved in anything more than a photo shoot. Skin color doesn't determine how hard a person will work (It can affect how hard a person HAS to work in many places.) or their emotional state or their attraction to you.

Well I have dated "lighter colour men" all my life and have found the majority very hard working, my other half is a white man and he gets up every morning at 0445hrs and working as a chef he is often at work til gone 11pm, that is very hard working to me!!! I must say I have never found myself attracted to very, very dark skin, but then again I have never been chatted up by a black man so I would presume they also do not find me attractive lol.

either will do, but at times i dont like a guy who is too white, it makes them look sickly at times or wash out. If abit tan it's ok with me. My bf is pretty white, and he looks pale. If he have a bit of a tan, he will look alot better and more perky. Working hard have nothing to do with there skin color. My father is pretty white yet he works pretty hard.

skin doesn't matter there are lazy men, as well as women, in all creeds, colors, shapes, nationalities etc., what really matters is if that person makes you happy...

i am not sure weather its true or not if lighter man work harder.... but frankly i will choose a dark man cos they will always look good...
