who should i vote for?

its the first year i can vote i live in the uk and dont kno who i should vote for in my local elections, any one got any ideas ?

u have to consider your personality .... are you green or do you like warm rooms and foreign travel?
I am sending a protest vote because of actions i disaprove of so will not be voting for the current regime

You should have received some kind of leaflet or leaflets from the candidates. Read them and decide which fits best with your views, remembering, however, that politicians always make promises which they don't necessarily keep. Also, do you approve or disapprove of what your local council has been doing recently? You could use that as a yardstick - do you want them to remain, or do you think it is time for a change? You are lucky to have a vote. In the small District in the north east of England where I live, most are returned unopposed - jobs for the boys.

(The answer which said all British political parties are socialist is talking b/s, and knows nothing of the political situation here)

I remember my father asking me if I voted in my first election. I said no. He said why not. I said I didn't know who to vote for.
He said if you have any intelligence you had better start to find out! I now know.

Do some research and figure out what is best for your community. Don't take anyone's word for it, take everyone's advise and no one's advise.

It is your vote, and whats more important your brain, use it mister!
