Msca is good, and also Cisco is best for IT , i'm IT and i took cisco certifications.

Cisco's CCNA or CCNP are probably the best for networking.

Comptia's A+(and many other Comptia certifications) are probably the best for just regular computer repair.

II have taken the CCNA and MCSE and they are whole lot harder then any Comptia certification in my opinion. However the Comptia's certifications are lifetime and never need to be retaken unlinke Micorsoft and Cisco.

I think the best course is On-Hands experience. You can sit in a classroom and listen to the theory and stuff, but nothing beats getting your hands on the equipment and experiencing it in person.

You're better off doing something non-operating system specific to begin with, like A+.
