x + a = 2x + 2a - b
<=> x - 2x = 2a - b - a
<=> -x = a - b
<=> x = b - a.

i hate to do this........but here it is

x + a = 2x + 2a -b
bring all x in one side by either crossmultiplying diviing subtraction whatever.
here we just have to bring x to the left and the remaining to the right where the sign changes if you bring from one side to the other
therefor it is
(2x - x) = a -( 2a - b)
or x = -a +b

Instead of searching websites and spending time, go through books , real books i mean if you really want to learn.
And if you just wanna show to your mom that ur r pretending to study by sitting infront of the com . you may..
i would suggest books on algebraic equations that can be found anywhere
All the best

When solving equations always do the same thing to both sides:-
Take x from both sides
a = x + 2a - b
Add b to both sides
a + b = x + 2a
Take 2a from both sides
- a + b = x
which is the same as
x = b - a

This is a first degree eq. in one variable
Put the variable in the L.H.S & the constants in the other side
x - 2x = 2a - b - a
simplify
-x = a - b
didivide the two sides by the coeffecient of x (-1)
x = b - a

x-2x=2a-a-b
-x=a-b
x=b-a

Therefore X= b-a
I don't know the site; but u can learn the basics from the school & and practice a lot of questions.

put x one side and the remaining to the other side, when you're changing the sides change the plus to minus or vice versa.

x - 2x = 2a - b - a

-x = a - b

multiply each side by -1

x = b - a

x+a = 2x+2a-b
2x-x = b-2a+a
x = b-a

1st- you bring all the "x" together to one side.
remember if u bring a postive number across u gotta change it to a negative number...n via versa.

2nd-do the minus and add dat stuff.

3rd- viola! the answer~

hmm..not too sure..ask ur teacher..would be best.

not sure bout d sites.sry
good luck!

x+a=2x+2a-b
x-2x=2a-a-b
-x=a-b
x=b-a

not enough info to solve this. if a=b then the answer is x=0

x+a=2x+2a-b
Fist step: x-2x=-a+2a-b
Second step: -x=-a-b
Third step: x=a+b is the answer.
