I started to have pain on my lower right side of my abdominal. It is not sever pain but its defiantly there. The day before I had this pain. I was having really bad gas. And im not joking. I had eaten a lot of food the night before because im trying to eat right. And I knew it was the last time I was going to eat fatten foods. So I stuffed myself. I think my pain may be due to it. Not sure though. Im really scared to say the lest. Im afraid it may be two things. 1. My appendix. Or 2. A hernia. Now how long before I should go see to the ER? I mean its day two and the pain is still here. Its not worse. Its about the same. I don’t have any other symptoms either. So what does everyone think? I don’t have insurance. So its not like I can go just run off to the doctors. I cant afford it right now. I know that gas can cause really bad pain. No joke! I read that on line. Anyway, please help me out guys. Im scared.

If the pain is persistant in the righ lower flank, and you are a young male that just ate too much, there is no food or gas that can give you that kind of pain especially from one day to another.....You need a proper physical exam, blomberg test (to see if its the appendix poit or Mc Burneys, and a complete bod cell count with leukocyte (white cell) count....
Dont Guess...dont waste time....if thi is an inflamed appendix, and you neglect it, it can burst open, giving you a peritonitis...then, you won need a medicalñ insurance, but somethig more drastic....go to the ER of the nearest hospital, and it does not matter if you have insuranceor not....its >Your life pal....Go

Get some Gas -X at the drug store.so you can eliminate that one problem .Push in on your side if it hurts more when you are letting up on the pressure then it is probably your appendix.a flair ,if it were bad you would be doubled up by now .It could be a twisted bowel. Are you having good bowel movements ? If the pain is great like a 7 on a scale of 1-10 I would go (after I took something for the gas)We can only guess ,Go to the ER. better safe then sorry . Good Luck.

Appendix infections usually have acute pain, nausea, and vomiting along with a fever. My sister had it. I thought she was having menstrual cramps, but it was too severe, with the fever and all, so she had to go to the doc and it was appendicitis.

Hernias, youd prob have bleeding.

When was your last bowel movement? Maybe youre constipated and the thing is blocking off the gas. Check your abdomen to see if its distended, ie puffed up and hard to the touch. Dont press hard on anything because you may rupture something.

For docs, try going to a teaching hospital. Like if youre in LA, go to USC. They dont usually charge much. Otherwise, find a friend doc or neighbor who can give you some further advice.

Certainly not a hernia. Hernia is an external growth of an organ or tissue, which will appear from out side. Appendix ? may be. Very difficult to tell, by the information given. It may be due to gastric also. There is no way, please consult a Doctor. Wish you fast recovery. Be optimistic.

Do you have a fever?? An apendicitis is normally accompanied by a raised temperature.. ususally OVER 101.

A hernia will normally protrude at least slightly.. and if pushed on feel like a small water ballon under the skin.....

Pain for more than 24 hours is abnormal... please have it checked ASAP... either can be dangerous!

I'd take some GasX before I ran to the emergency room. I get that sometimes when I eat steamed broccoli or beans.
