Its simple friend.
Just right click on "My Computer" & go to 'Properties' then go to the 'Advanced' tab in the property window. There clink the button 'settings' under 'Startup and Recovery',
Now press the button 'Edit' under 'System Startup'.
Here you can see a notepad called "Boot loader notepad", Edit the boot loader notepad with care, its really very sensitive. Any wrong modifications can lost your OS. Carefully delete the second line in the notepad which may be something like this=

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0) partition(2) \WINDOWS="Windows XP Proffessional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

Pls delete this line carefully & nothing other.
Save the changes in the notepad & exit & reboot the computer, your job is done!!
P.S - If you carefully study the notepad, you can also put your name in the selection screen !!
Open Microsoft Help & Support for more help.

Have a Nice Day......

You have deleted the whole of your Operating System
you will have to Format C Drive as the boot.ini is stored in C drive whether the Wndows XP is installed on C drive on not so you will have to Format drive C in order to remove the windows XP from the boot screen

Start the first XP on C:

Install the XP CD and choose the Recovery Console. When the black screen appears, type FixMBR

When done, type: exit That will remove the Dual-boot startup screen. Reformat D: and that will do it.

right click 'my computer'
choose 'properties'
change to the 'advanced' tab
click 'settings' in the startup and recovery section
in this window you can delete the no longer needed boot entry and change your timeout to zero.
