Yes, Mcgrath retired in a blaze of glory. He played a pivotal role in Australia's winning the World Cup 2007. He also took the maximum number of wickets by any bowler in any of the World Cups held so far.

Glenn Mcgrath started his career in 1993 ever since he has been the part of three times world cup winning team and once the finalist. Moreover he became the best wicket taking bowler in the world cup and also won the prestigeous player of the tournament award.

Thats Glenn Mcgrath for you.

Indeed a most fitting denouement to his sterling career! Highest wicket taker at the tournament, World Cup Champion and participant in the Ashes "5 nil whitewash of England. After the British press had labeled him and the Aussie side as geriatrics!
So a fitting tribute that he departs in glory at the pinnacle of his powers.

It is unfortunate that some good guys are leaving while many bad are still holding the bat in their hand. If you wish to die, you die when you are healthy. Otherwise, you become sick, bed ridden for ever and trouble your self and trouble every one. This is what happening at the moment in Indian Cricket.
I admire, Glen, Warne, Lara for their retirement.
