No. You get pregnant when a sperm is implanted in an egg. There are many times when sperm enters, but never reaches the egg. First, the sperm has to be present during ovulation, when the egg drops and is capable of being fertilized. Even during ovulation, this may not happen. If sperm does enter during this time, then you may get pregnant. Sperm can survive for s few days, so if you ovulate a day or so after sex, it can still happen. But, if there is no egg present, nothing will happen. If pregnancy happened every time sperm was present, there would be a lot more babies around. If you do not want to get pregnant, use protection.

If you are asking this, you are way too young to be having sex!

You can only get pregnant if you have an egg that is mature enough to be fertlized. There are only certain days a month that you ovulate. The eggs lives for several days. And so do the sperm. Often if an egg gets fertilized it might not be a pregnancy because of something wrong with it.

If you automatically got pregnant when sperm enters your vagina most women would be pregnant constantly

Not automatically. But the sperm do have to "swim" up to meet the egg, which means you have to have ovulated while there is the presence of sperm. Sperm can live in your body for 72 hours.

I have had sex a million times but I do not have a million children so No, you don't get pregnant every time sperm goes inside you. You have to be ovulating when you have sex to even have a chance at getting pregnant. Just because you are ovulating doesn't mean you will definately get pregnant. The sperm don't have to swim to your ovaries, your ovaries release an egg and it comes down your fallopian tube where it can get fertilised, then the newly formed embryo will implant itself into the lining of your womb. There are literally millions of websites about conception, if you are worried look them up....they are a wealth of knowledge.
