i.e. to warn about the loan adverts and the avalanche of mail that comes to Yahoo email addresses re. " You have won the lottery"

OK, so 99% of users see through the junk but a warning at the top of the page would stuff these con men.

Children (& morons) don't read warnings ...

I'm amazed that some of them can even type .. for sure they are incapable of checking previous 'Best Answers' before posting the 'How can I get my Lottery Winnings out of Nigeria' and 'I want to work from Home' (please fleece me) type Questions ....

Unfortunately, it wouldn't stuff them. People who respond to these things know deep down that they're a con, but they allow wild hope to suppress common sense. They actually WANT to believe that they've won the lottery, they want that euphoria, even if only for a short time, and even at the cost of lots of pounds. They don't read the warnings, because they don't want to.

No, it doesn't make sense to me either !

Surely everyone must realise that when they get sent an email telling them they have won a competition they did not enter that it's a con?

I think people silly enough to buy into these 'free lunches' get everything they deserve for being so nieve.

No it wouldn't - people are sucked into scams by greed which makes them both blind and foolish.
