my actiontec dsl modem has a DSL settings tab where i see VPI(0 - 255): (set to 0) and
VCI(32 - 65535): (set to 35)
Mode: MMODE
QoS:UBR

can i change any of those to make my dsl faster or do i have to call in and ask them to make it a bit faster? its really slow compared to other dsl

None of them can be changed. Maintain your PC properly. Download win xp manager from www.softarchive.net install it & clean & maintain your PC with the tools provided by it. Another thing to do after cleaning click start choose run now in box type gpedit.msc click ok now in openig window click on administrative templates than double click on networks. Now double click on QoS Packet scheduler than double click on Limit reservable Band Width, on opening click enabled. Now you will get 20% band width limit set it to Zero by scrolling. You have increased your bandwidth by 20%.

Call you ISP and tell them: "its really slow compared to other dsl".

use the software Tune-up software..... it does speed up dsl connections
