I have a Toshiba Satellite A105 S4054. It currently has 512MB of RAM, but I would like to upgrade it to 2 gigs. Is this possible? And if so, what kind of price am I looking at? Thanks...

You need PC 4200 Ram for your system and you can do anything up to 4gb if you want. The cheapest i found was 94.99 and heres the link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?CMP=AFC-TechBargains&Item=N82E16820231118

wow final time I checked, 2 slots of 2G chips equaled 4G don't be conscious of the place those adult adult males have become 8G i think of I discovered what got here approximately. I checked the specs. Remaldal is principally suited. specific the board in basic terms has 2 slots, specific a sodimm can in basic terms handle 2G sticks. yet they have a sixty 4 bit OS and the 4100 sequence memory controller can handle 8G and so everybody is CLAIMING it could greater healthy 8G even however 4 IS ALL which will greater healthy on the BOARD. that's VERY deceptive advertising. that's like asserting my vehicle can bypass 200MPH because of the fact my speedometer is going that best. examine the link below, that's no longer the only deceptive advertising stated regarding the 505 sequence. everybody is complaining approximately fake claims regarding the video too. Toshiba is principally an extremely respected organization shame ON THEM!!!

It is. I just upgraded mine. It came with 512 also. The max is only 2GB with most laptops. I have 1.5 now. It depends on your mhz. Mine is 533mhz. So i bought the Kingston 1GB DDR2 PC2 4200 Ram stick. Now mine is super fast. I like Kingston..but there are other rams out there. Try newegg.com. SUPER good deals on ram. The i have is 149.00 in all the stores. But is 47.99 on newegg. NO CATCH.

your max should be 4 GB @ DDR2 @533Mhz
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2988112&Tab=2&NoMapp=0

And remember youre looking for a SODIMM (laptop Memory)
you already have a 512mb
so you should look for 1 GB and 1 addirional 512MB RAM CHIP

Asfar as price....youd have to look around to see whos having the best deal at this time -- since ram prices usually change from week to week

Read the PC Manual, it will tell you how to add RAM and what type to use. Then, go to Crucial or Kingston and price it out.
