5 years ago, the son was 13 years old (18-5)

Let x = the boy's age now
2x = the Father's age when son was born
x - 5 = boy's age 5 years back

2x = 36
x = 36/2
x = 18 years old ==> boy's age now
18 - 5 = 13 years ==> boy's age 5 years back
