Should it be current descendants of U.S. slaves? All current African Americans? The poorest African Americans? The African American community as a collective group? Al Black Americans (a wider group than African Americans, including at least recent immigrant, or 2nd generation African or Afro-Carribeans)?

Nobody who descended from slavery is the appropriate recipient for reparations; there is nobody living who suffered slavery 140+ years ago.

this is just a gimmick to get some of the taxpayer's hard-earned money for their own selfish reasons.

The only appropriate recipients should be the actual "living at the time" Japanese-Americans who physically suffered internment.

it is an unfortuinate fact of history but all slaves wernt equal ,to begin with there were the house and yard slaves , you either served in house or the field
then you have the companian slaves raised as a play mate or personal valete ,you have those abused and those used for entertainment ,ones that served lawyers /bankers or shopkeepers or farmers ,in short slaves have thier elites too
those that are being abused to day were more likely to have been abused then ,so this taljk of money clearly should be aimed at the poorest of the poor , the uneducated , to right trans generational wrongs ,i would suggest that those with fathers in prison , or single mathers ,to heal and educate those suffereing even today
its not a case of giving to those in the know , or even the squeeky wheels ,nor to spend the money on paying ''white dudes to serve ,or look after them it should go directly to those needing base needs , for education or healing
of course its a joke or a troll , the money if any comes will just go to the usual elites
we must not forget the sins of the past but equally we must not say they were exclusive to race , many white poor endured sufferance ,in this barbaric of times past ,we have let elites through out time get wealthy from abuses perpetuated on many simply poor or uneducated
