Do people here in the U.S. have a culture? --Actually i am confuse too, because this is actually what the book goes, talks about American cultures, then jump into deaf people. And then starts to talk about culture about the deaf people.

That question is pretty confusing - the "deaf people" clause is just sort of thrown in there. Are you asking if deaf Americans have a culture, or if deaf people are accepted by American culture, or what?
As far as the US having a culture, I don't think so. While every country certainly has sub-cultures, the US is literally a "melting pot," with numerous groups having different values and traditions. If you could randomly grab a hundred people from around the country, you'd find dramatically different accents, food preferences, politics, religions, etc.

A culture is a way of life and yes, Americans have one...many actually, but there is a mainstream American culture.
Culture is not something that has to be old.
The deaf also have a culture.

Of course the U.S. has a culture. And many subcultures as well.
It's just not usually obvious to people in the U.S.; usually, an outside perspective helps see these things.

From someone outside America - Yes you do appear to have a culture - dominated by conservative fundamental christianity - there doesn't seem to be much separation of church and state.
Greed and judgemental hypocrisy seem to abound, resulting in gross social injustice and inequality.
Your gun laws are scary and reminiscent of the wild west mentality of gunslingers.
Your government seems to be bought and sold by self interested corporations

we will have a culture once we decide upon who is American and who is a forgeiner.
until then, we are thousands of cultures and victims of media influence all fighting for "our way" to be "right"
