LABELS! UGH!!! It goes much deeper than the terms and sex. If you have love for someone, does the proper term really mean anything??? Seriously??? I was in a same sex relationship, with the same person, for nearly 4 years before I ever accepted the term lesbian. To me what matters is what is in your heart. If you really want to analyze it, is it a possibility that you feel more comfortable in the "relationship" with a man bc you feel safer??? Because that is what you are used to, or feel will be accepted??? Or are you just sexually attracted to women bc you think it is taboo, therefore exciting??? I hate to confuse you, but it doesn't really matter. I think people who term themselves bi are lucky... they have twice the chance of finding love and happiness bc they are openminded and openhearted enough that they can be attracted to both sexes.
And if you want a REALLY in depth answer... direct it to some friends of mine. www.hersbandandwife.com They have an online advice column, and a live radio show where they try to help peopel with questions EXACTLY like yours!!!!!

The word 'homosexual' indicates a sexual connection only, in the same way that the word 'heterosexual' indicates a sexual connection only.
To be straight means that when you feel sexual desire for another human being, that human being is always a human being of the opposite gender.
To be gay means that when you feel sexual desire for another human being, that human being is always a human being of the same gender.
You are reading too much into those terms.
A person who is capable of feeling sexual desire for members of either gender is called bisexual. Some bisexuals are more gay than straight, and some are more straight than gay.
Namaste.

Do you have romantic/sexual attractions to the same sex?
Do you have romantic/sexual attractions to the opposite sex?
If you answered yes to the first, you're homosexual.
If you answered yes to the second, then you're heterosexual.
If you answered yes to both, then you are bisexual.
I am technically bisexual (from what I believe sexual orientation is), but always prefer having a romantic relationship with men. Women just don't do it romantically for me. And since I'm a romantic, sex is always better with men. Thant's why I simply say "I'm gay".

Do you see the kinds of reactions that you are getting? Sex is very important to LGBT's. So no, it's not only about sex, it does have something to do with it of course, but not only about sex.
What you have are people who are societies kicking boys. Hell, in some societies, as in Islamic countrys, they are literally killed, executed. Just for sex with those of their own gender.
So you have a lot of emotion tied up in their personalities, and rightfully so. You will be counted as a troll if you don't respect that.
People might have even beat them up in school for being what they are. Persecution does that to you, it makes you weary of another attack.
So it's good that you are trying to understand, but just be careful, unless you appear to us as being too familliar, disrespectful, contemptuous.

i think i know what your saying, like when people realise their gay, or come out of the closet after a long time hiding, their habits change, suddenly their calling you darling when dude used to do, is that what you mean? i dont get it, i guess my sexuality wasnt a sudden revelation, iv known since i was 11 that i was bi, so iv spent so long being me i havent been affected by the "usual" facade of dykes.
i think people is people, and a lot of people are bloody silly.

Sex is used as politics. It doesn't have to be like that, but you need agape love to make it different. You need to be a thankful person to be heterosexual. You're the only one of you there is.
Homosexuality relies on stereotypes as a social necessity. Its ethic is that evolution has made us naturally criminal.
