I go with the best answer... best info, clever answer, interesting fact, effort, not copy paste.

I usually pick the funniest answer, one that makes me laugh. You dont get Top Contributer for the amount of best answers. I had it then I lost it now I've got it again. You just have to be on regularly and you will get it, answer about 10 questions a day, vote a couple times a day, every day and in about two weeks you will get it.

Yes, I try to avoid unless their answer is very good, because I was a top contributer but my account got deactivated and I'm very bitter about that now.

I always look at the questions first if I know the answer of if the questions really funny I answer it,it don't matter who else answered it If I have a opinion about it I will answer

I go with whatever answer is agreeable with mine or whatever answer provides enough information to prove what i asked wrong.. or if in the case of my question last night in mathamatics i would generally go with the top person just so i know the answer is most likely right! good question

When picking a best answer for a question I have asked, or even if it is a question someone else has asked I look for relevance and whether it is helpful or not.
Also if it has valuable information within it.

No, best answer gets Best Answer.
I've given Best Answer to several Top Contributors because I thought they deserved it. They worked hard on their answer, put in some thought - I can see why they got those badges!

No, I don't care who they are. I usually look for a balanced answer, unless it is a cut and dry answer to a question. I don't like extremist views in any form. I have my own principles, but that doesn't mean everyone has to agree or think like me to be accepted by me.
