I only remember certain scenes/plot lines. The vampire was in love with this girl but was reluctant at first to make her a vamp. I also remember the ending, he invites a group of people over for dinner, kills all of them, 2 of the guests were blondes, he kills them by chocking them,1 blond per hand. The movie ends with him ascending up the stairs to finally either kill or make the girl that he was in love with a vamp. The last frame was a freeze frame of him with his teeth drawn (very creepy back in those days) Can anyone tell me the name of this movie?

I'm pretty sure that I can break it down for you a lot better than my illustrious predecessor!!!

...although the beginning of your synopsis description is more than a bit vague, the ending you describe unmistakenly sounds like the 1974 horror chiller, "Grave of the Vampire". In the film, a girl is raped by a vampire in a graveyard, after which the undead creature disappears into the night; after a short stint in a rehabilitation center, the girl goes home, with the intent of giving birth to, and keeping the unholy child growing in her womb. Once born, the mother realizes that the child will not take her milk, and instead bleeds herself to feed the child (the scene where the baby feeds off a cut the mother inflicts on her breast, is very disturbing).

The child grows into a vengeful young man, determined to find the creature who inflicted his mother (who had since died), and cursed him with a bloodlust he desperately tries to control. He falls for a young college girl, who is strangely attracted to him; he also directs his suspicious attentions toward a professor at the college, who is unusually well-versed in the supernatural...especially vampires!!!

At the end of the film, the young man and the girl, along with a group of other students, find themselves at the house of the self-same college professor, who not only reveals himself as a vampire, but the very creature that inflicted the young man with the undead curse.

After viciously dispatching and feeding on virtually all his hapless guests, the professor and the young man battle animalistically each other, and in the end, the young man destroys his vampiric father...but not before finally losing control, and succumbing to his own accursed bloodlust. The last scene of the film is exactly as you describe: the young man, slowly climbs the stairs in the house, his newly sprouted fangs bared, with the intent of killing and/or feeding on his girlfriend (...very chilling, indeed!!!)

"Grave of the Vampire" is, more or less, in public domain, and is relatively easy to get hold of, on DVD; check out the webpages below...

...hope this helps!!!

Wow! Great question! Well, I can only think of one vampire movie from like the seventies and I am probably off on this, but it was a gem of a movie and sticks in my mind so well, because it scared the crap out of me when I was young! It is called "Let;s Scare Jessica To Death"! It is a bunch of hippies, takes place in like the country, there is like a lake scene in it and I think Jessica is like insane or something! It is a very cloudy memory for me, but I do remember being scared! Hope this helps you! If this isn't the movie you're looking for, which this probably is not, check out "Jessica" anyways! It will at least give you a couple hours of cheesy laughs and fun and an excuse to cuddle with somebody special! Have a great day!
