when I deal with posting photos on the internet they talk about the photos having to be a certain mb or kb, what are those? Does it take a certain amount of one to make the other, like how it takes 5 pennies to make a nickel.

You've got the idea. MB stands Megabytes, KB stands for Kilobytes this is partaining to the amount of space your picture or file takes up on your computer. It takes a 1000 Kilobytes to make 1 Megabyte. Usually when a website specifies KB or MB its not how much you have to have but the limit of what can be put on their website.

well that is the size. megabyte and kilobyte. about 1,000 kb=1 mb.

also if you size photos for web, you might see something called dpi-dots per inch which is the resolution and is impt for photos size. where you want a 72 dpi photo-this is resolutions. anything larger than that would be too large, too!

yes u guessed it rite but it takes about 1024 kb (kilo byte) to make one mb (mega byte) one bit is the smallest size of storage in a pc
1 gb (giga byte) = 1024 mb
1 mb (mega byte) = 1024 kb
1 kb (kilo byte) = 1024 byte
1 byte = 1024 bits
there are even higher storage capacities like tera byte etc. but are not in common use, the sites often offer enough space like 500 mb which is enough to upload a image

I think your photos are too big. I resize my pictures in photoshop. If you don't have that I don't know how else to do it. Sorry.
