I sincerely hope so. If it is a true mistake a second chance is in order. Making the same mistake twice or more indicates a pattern and a red flag to future acts.

It all depends on the mistake. Some mistakes I feel are unforgivable like cheating or spouse abuse.
But some are forgivable.
