Officially, Houston-areaTEA "recognized" school districts are:
Deer Park ISD, Katy ISD, Clear Creek ISD, Montgomery ISD, and Pearland ISD. All of these are suburban. There are individual recogized schools within Houston ISD to include the schools located in West University and Bellaire. There are recognized schools within Spring Branch in the immediate Memorial vicinity.

Memorial High School is the best public school. My daughter is there and just got accepted to Rice (gotta brag). It is expensive here but less across I-10 and you can still attend Memorial. Bellaire also has a great school as does Stratford. Good luck.

Fort Bend is the best from elementary through highschool. I went to Clements HS. 95% of graduates go to college on after and the other 5% i assume, join the army.
