I want to split the internet connection in my room to like 3 connections. We have a router upstairs but cant run 2 more line down here. My question is, CAN I PLUG A ROUTER INTO ANOTHER ROUTER? meaning the line thats already coming out of a router... can I plug that into another router and split it to 3 connections? any help would help. thanks

Yes you can, that's how the web works.

In a home environment, the only real issue is bandwidth. The more users online at one time, the slower the connection becomes. Downloads and uploads really hurt.

Where did you get the third router? If you haven't bought it, consider buy a router supports more connections? Perhaps a wireless router.

if you can't run more than a single line, then you don't have a router. you have only the modem. if you get a router like you are asking about, then yes you can run as many as the router has ports, usally up to 4.
