I looked at both of my two fish (algea eater and Koi) and both of them have little worm looking things attached to them, mostly near there fins. And in the area of just scale there attached under the scales making that scale turn blood red. Both of them are staying in one spot together not eating or moving. the worms are split at the ends. What should I do?

That's anchor worms.. Several good choices are available to treat them. Clout, Maracide and others, just look for a good parasite medication that mentions anchor worms on the label and you will be all set. Treat as soon as possible though, they can get really bad quite quickly.

These worms are parasites. They are living organisms that feed on other live living things. This is contagious, and every fish will catch it. ASAP,get anti-parasitical medication at your pet store. Raise the water temperature, follow directions carefully. Change the water more often. Next time you introduce a new fish, quarantine it before adding it to the tank.
The red blotches are the places where the flesh has been eaten, and can get fungus and bacterial infections.

It sounds exactly like hookworms. Go to your aquarium shop and look for a medication for their treatment. I can;t remember the name but it is something like malacide. Be sure you tell them you have an algae eater, as some types are skinned instead of scale and they can't have this treatment.
