I just got them today because my glasses broke and it will take 2 weeks before my glasses can be made. I like how I look without my glasses, but I can "feel" the contacts in my eyes, I am told after a while I'll get use to them...but how much after a while?

It can vary from person to person and what type of contacts you are wearing (i.e. hard vs. soft contact lenses).

I've never worn hard contacts but I do wear soft contacts. It only took a day or two to get used to them. If you are trying soft contacts & are still feeling them after a few days, contact your optometrist. You may need to change your cleaning solution or the brand of contacts.

My soft contacts used to dry out right away so I used re-wetting drops. Then I tried AOSept cleaning solution - it is preservative free & that completely solved the problem.

As for contact lens brands - I've had good experience w/ Biometric, Ciba & Accuvue Oasys. I didn't care for O2 Optix.

I got soft contacts when I was in middle school, and I took about a month or so to be confident putting them in.

As for feeling them on your eyes, It's about one or two weeks before that goes away. And if you don't wear them for a long time then pop them back in, it's the same thing.

I used to feel the same way you do but if you wear them on a regular basis, maybe 1 week to 2 then you should be used to it. Make sure to carry rewetting drops incase your eyes feels dry. Sometimes I shower w/ them by accident. =X

It took me about 10 to 14days to forget that i had them in, I could not feel them and i would rub my eyes and that's not good.
