Can you advise me on secret places to stash my money & travellers cheques while travelling overseas?

Buy a money belt. They are available from any number of stores online and they are nearly fool proof. Your travelers cheques can be hidden in your socks so long as the elastic is strong. Your passport is the hardest to hide... get the type of purse that has a velcro closure and can be worn under a shirt or inside pants.

I just got back form a vacation and I had split my $$ up in $50 stashes. I would only take so much w/ me at a time. The $$ that stayed behind I had some in the lining of my suitcase, in the bottom of shoes, just all over. I did write down where I put it and that stayed w/ my passport that never left my side.

I bought a pouch made especially for this very concern. It goes around your waist under your clothes. A white pouch with a zipper and a long belt that goes around you. It works great. I use it everytime I travel.

I dont know were you are going but just about every were now there are plenty of ATM's. I travel in S.E Asia ,and only withdraw mony when I need it, same as when I am at home.
Each withdrawel will cost about twice as much but you dont need to take mony with you

This is not secret, but its pretty secure--get one of those small, sealable purse-like items that you can hang around your neck. Other than that, if your hotel has a safe, it is probably a good idea to make use of it as much as possible. You do not want to lose your passport, that above all.
