I would say humans have the ability to make others feel love so my answer is love.

The ability to create and use various tools sets us apart from animals. What is common among us, is our creativity.
Love is also found among animals, and is observed by watching a family of cats, dogs, elephants, etc., that play with each other and look after one another. Love is comfort. People that are comfortable with each other have more love and respect for each other. Love comes from harmony and compatibility, and its main fruit is peace or comfort.

The most prominent of all faculties existent in a human being is the power of discrimination bestowed on mankind by God Almighty. It is the power of discrimination that differentiates human beings from all other forms of life particularly animals. In absence of the power of discrimination... we sometimes find human beings behaving at the lowly level of animals. This power of discrimination has been very aptly described in one of the Upanishads of Hinduism.
When a tree uprooted in a fierce gale reached the gates of heaven... enquired of God what his fault was that he died. God replied that dear... your manifest life as plant is over... in the next manifestation you shall be able to run with your legs and take cover. Unable to move... you shall never die again.
In the next manifestation this tree was born an animal. Came a huge deluge and the animal ran and hid himself in a cave. The flood waters entered the cave and the animal died. When it reached heaven... it again enquired of God what his fault was that he died. God Almighty ordained that in the next manifestation you shall be born a human being... one without a parallel... with power of discrimination!
This human being when the flood came instead of entering the cave climbed to the top of the mountain and was saved. The power of discrimination is what distinguishes us from animal life. It is the power of discrimination that makes a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or prophet Mohammed out of a commoner. I don't have that much faith in human beings. I'd say the only things they have in common is their need for food, sleep, and dispose of waste materials in their bodies.

Since the source of the morality of all societies both past, present, and future is FEAR, i would say that fear is shared by all.
Even love is a form of fear that has been taken to the nth degree.

Fear. Everyone experiences fear at some stage of their lives. Even serial killers have the fear of getting caught at some stage in life. Everyone fears something from birth. Not everyone learns love or to love or even to be loved. The fear of being loved!

war and survival at there base levels. some would say that's not true but name one person that has no one in there past or right now they don't fight with. and survival come down to living.
