If there hadn't been some shady dealings during the last election, I'm sure that we'd be in a much better place with the distinguished Al Gore as our president.

Al Gore was a key player in funding the growth of the Internet from a primitive Arpnet origins. He indeed "created' the Internet through his work and should have been recognized for his forward vision. However, the conservative hacks took his "created" verbiage and claimed he said that he "invented" the Internet.

He never said the word "INVENT" that was one of the many distortions perpetrated by the conservative talk radio hacks. We was robbed. Al we love you.

However, I think Al Gore can do a lot of good outside the Washington machine. The congressional-corporate-military machine is so corrupt that I wonder if a good man can make any difference now.

The system is such that we are almost assured a corrupt leader given the powerful influences in Washington D.C.

Al Gore received more votes than GW Bush in the 2000 presidential election. He was in congress for about 16 years and was vice president for 8 years.Next to Bush, he is an intellectual giant. He would be a great president. I wish he would, but I do not expect he will run.

He quit in 2000.
Who is stupid enough to vote for a quitter. He can't be counted on when the chips are down.

Maybe you think that they took him in a dark room and showed him 3 videos of the JFK assassination from 3 different angles. That is an unacceptable answer. If he loved this country he would have / should have fought back and dared them to come out and kill him. JFK did.

Maybe 9/11 & Iraq would not have happened and all those lives wouldn't have been lost.

He was a hart beat away from the most powerful office in the free world. He did NOTHING to change the economics of Renewable Energy. What makes you thing he has come up with a way to save the planet without killing the economy? The planet is in much more danger with a bad economy than a good one. Violence is much greater in a downward spiraling economy. Less is spend on treating waste in a bad economy. Think through your wishes!

He never has been in this race. I don't think Gore is going to run, he would have declared already. We'll be swearing in Madame President in January '09.

A few years ago he said he didn't plan to run again, and he hasn't announced any change in his position since then. He seems to be doing pretty well outside the world of politics though, and it'd be a shame to get back into it... sometimes you can get more done as a regular person.

Well First, he got lower grades than the President.
Second, I wish he would run, we need another Republican in the White House to check the power grab of the Democrats in Congress.

In conclusion, I hope algore does run to insure this happens.

So Sayeth the Impaler!

There is a small Draft Gore movement in liberal circles but I don't think he'll run. It's too bad...he'd be a great candidate...and he already won once.

As far as I'm concerned...MY President IS Al Gore....He has been since the day, back in 2000, he had the election illegally stolen from him by the Bush family and Catherine Harris(Bush 2000 campaign manager..and incidentally, she was also in charge of the Florida votes....hmmm)

GORE IN 2008!!!

I think he is still exploring the idea, but my guess is that he will pass on it. Hilary and Obama have too much money for him to catch up on now.

I'd take a wino off the street over Bush. ANYONE would be an improvement!
