This should be easy: because it is a free country. If she wants to make movies, and she is talented, and people are willing to hire her to do so, and people are interested in watching them, then it can happen. (With any luck at all, we'll never see another Pauley Shore movie made because none of those things is true.) A lot of people still have high regard for Charles Lindburgh even though he was a notorious Nazi sympathizer at the start of World War II. Heck, some people admire Barry Bonds and are excited about his breaking Hank Aaron's record. Life is complicated.

He was flying fighter interceptors in the Air Guard. He did it for 7 years and was a volunteer for retraining in F-100s, an assignment that would have sent him to Vietnam. More than either Clinton or Obama ever did.
