How do i know if i have a ddr2 memory stick?

Download and install CPUZ. Look at memory and SPD tabs. Memory details are there.

You can easily find out, check the labels on your memory sticks. If the speed of the memory surpasses 500MHz, its guaranteed to be DDR2. You can also expect the notches on DDR memory to be almost in the middle while DDR2's notches will be slightly at the bottom.

either go into device manager or if that wont tell download something called belrac advisor or a similar program which tells you exactly whats plugged in to your computer.or why not just google your memory stick and itl likely come up product results on amazon or something and you can check the description.Im not sure if memory sticks are classsed as ddr anyway(flash?

It should say what it is right on it. Open up the computer and look at the memory stick. Good ones will have an aluminum or copper heat spreader which generally has the speed and brand on it. Cheaper ones usually just have a sticker but it'll still have the relavant information.
