I know this makes no sense, why would my neighbors internet use effect my airport, but it is true. Whenever my neighbor logs on, my airport shuts off. I then have to wait a couple minutes b4 i can get my signal back. Ive had my cable company at my house 20 times and they cant figure it out. They always say, there are 75 networks in my area and mine is only one that has this issue. So if anyone out there has any idea of what may be causing this, or even better how i can fix it, PLEASE let me know. This has been a mystery to me now, for about a year, and its starting to drive me mad! I may have to kill my neighbor or steal their computer, please dont let it come to this. help...please.

You and your neighbor are probably on the same or adjacent channels. Go into the config page for the Airport and change the default channel. Change it to one as far from the current channel as possible.

i deal with something "kind off" similar, because of rain and lightning... for 4 months... i call supervisor, place repair calls.... you name it...

UNTILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

i sent a letter to the phone company, the district office, and they came and re-wired my house....at no cost... and give me credit for the moths i did not use..... AND even then, IT WAS NOT EASSY FOR THEM TO FIND THE PROBLEM... BUT.. IS GONE.. AND IS FIX...

PS
i live in Florida.. weather conditions, are not the best... so i can relate.. i took me a while... but is FIXXXX...;-)

good luck
