I know they dislike Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly and my favorite Miss Ingrahm. Will they try to silence them if they end up with control of the Congress and the Executive Office in 2008?
With that they will control the Supreme Court. A liberal Supreme Court will decide Rush, Hannity and Ingrahm should not have free speech. We will have to listen on the internet and Ipods. Forget it libs, free speech is hear to stay!

No, only "wrong" free speech - meaning anything they disagree with.

Setting joking aside, It's not a violation of a person's free speech unless it is the government banning certain speech. I don't see either party doing than any time soon.

But I do find the hypocrisy of liberals amazing. When Rosie, the Dixie Chicks or some other liberals say something unpopular resulting in protests or public outrage, the liberals scream that their freedom of speech is being violated. But if a conservative says something similar, the liberals attack. The conservatives may defend the statements, but they don't scream "free speech!"

Once I even saw a question here accusing conservatives or violating film-makers free speech because there were protests surrounding "Brokeback Mountain." Gee, doesn't a free speech allow someone to protest something they think is wrong?

Excuse me? This from someone who supports a President who says that anyone questioning his decisions is commiting treason?

People on the left and those of us in the middle want to silence Rush, Hannity, and O'Reilly because they're a bunch of know-nothing blowhards who have found a way to mesmerize people with their fascist monologues, hiding their right-wing agenda behind a false sheild of being journalists: the same thing YOU have been accusing the 'liberal media' of doing for decades. But for me, I say, let 'em talk. The more they support Bush, the more idiotic they look, and hopefully anyone with an IQ above that of the average doorknob will come to recognize them for what they are.

Of course, this would not include YOU.

Socialism censors loose speech to ward off dissents from speaking out against them. human beings prefere being self reliant from an expert that they don't prefer to placed up to and socialism demands absolute submission to the state and that's considered necessary planners. Socialism in undemanding terms works while human beings are confident that the state knows ultimate, yet this could't be executed while there is an extremely vocal opposition against them providing techniques that threaten state dominance interior the lives of the state's voters.

Could you at least put some effort into making up your lies?

I applaud your originality, you're the first person ever to claim that there is a plot to appoint 5 judges more partisan than Roberts to the Supreme Court, to somehow end the First Amendment. Why not just claim they want to force everyone to use unisex bathrooms like the rest of the luna-cons?

There is no way they can pass a constitutional law banning Rush, etc. They can, however, insist the FCC enforce laws requiring them to back up what they say with facts and not half-truths. But since what they do is mainly opinion-based anyway, they can't be regulated into silence.

Which is good. We need healthy debate in this country. I wish Rush, etc were healthier, but they shouldn't be forced from the airwaves.

No, the Liberals will still allow you to practice you religion of hate...the hate is coming from the Right and you blame Liberals for fighting it? Yes you can have your opinions...but don't expect people like me to roll over for you. Believe it or not, but I actually respect the views of the Right...its just that it appears that the Right wants to hear nothing from the Left...our wonderful country will fail with out the tension betweeen Right and Left,

I agree with "girly Q" in that if you say crap, you ought to get a pie in the face...but its your right to say it and my right to throw the pie

Watch out what you wish for...now Rupert Murdoch is trying to buy the Dow Jones Index...if he does, he will not only most of the media, but own part of the way money is made through investment

Sorry but the Supreme Court will not turn liberal anytime soon even with a liberal executive branch. That bill is going nowhere, stop worrying.

They would love to end speech of any kind for all conservatives. The evil see good as bad, and bad as good. They hate to hear what we have to say. It scares the devil out of them, literally.

In this case, you maybe should hope they do. The neocon talk radio hosts are only hurting the Dems' opponents.

What made you come up with this silly idea?

Liberals wont silence free speech. They are the ones who promote it. The Conservative celebrities, whom you love, are the ones that label everyone who disagrees with them a traitor.
